The photo shoot is shot by the legendary Mario Testino, who usually photographs the most glamorous actresses for Vogue. In this shoot Cotillard moves through what seems to be the French country side, as a stylish nature photographer.
The clothes worn by the actress are tight fitting pencil skirts, and revealing tops or dresses with a sexy 50s influence. It is safe to say that this issue of Vogue is introducing a strong magnetic push towards the 50s for both men and women.
The colours in the clothes shift between pale pinks to rich violets and sensual nude tones. The beauty of the actress and the gorgeous siren-like clothes, blend in perfectly with the blooming trees portrayed. The clothes chosen seem to be mainly based on the Nina Ricci House, which fits the atmosphere and location to a T. Grace Coddington styling hit the nail on the head once again, but no big surprise there.
Marion Cottillard is as elegant as an old hollywood actress and that's what makes her stand out from other contemporary film stars. This photo shoot is a testament to that.
Congratulation to Vogue for another successful cover and shoot!
