Get 2 Know Us

On January 1, 2010, Diego, Nicole and Ty discovered a word that would forever change their lives: BERTH.

Defined by Dictionary.com, a berth (n) is "a shelflike sleeping space, as on a ship, airplane, or railroad car", the latter of which we'd come to journey the breadth of Canada from Toronto to Vancouver.  The trip began on May 6 and ended May 20.  Five days were spent on the train. Yes, we said it, FIVE.

To appreciate this virtual computerlation space thingy, you must first understand that the three of us have extraordinary opinions on just about everything we come across.  Whether it's shoes, prices, cantaloupe, or people, our opinion powerhouse is constantly operating.

Sometimes our opinions backfire on us.  Case and point, when we were deciding to travel Economy Class or Sleeper Touring (with berths!), we opted for the royal treatment.  "Travelling like first class bitches!" we thought with exhilaration.

The night we arrived at the station we desperately searched for people like us, only to find our line up littered with, uh, octogenarians.  Our peeps were travelling Economy Class.  Without us.  This was an enlightening experience that made us realize how opinionated we can be.  We had to spread the word.  Life After Berth was born.
