=(
You know what?.... this is really disappointing. I had great hopes for this movies. I have been following it since they started advertising for it almost a year ago, and being a fan of the cartoon as I am (nerd, I know) I had great expectations. And well... it was disappointing.
I wasn't the only one disappointed truthfully. Ty, Nicole, and our friend Heather were all left with a bitter taste in our mouth after watching it. I believe the 2 major problems were: 1 BAD acting, and 2 NO character development.
I feel that the audience wasn't given an opportunity to understand, relate, and appreciate the characters and their relationships. No one understood why Sokka, Kotara, and Aang were sticking together. or the reason why Aang had a massive flying bison with him, or why on earth Sokka and Kotara were the only NON Inuit people with a british grandmother in an ALL Inuit village.Unfortunately I feel that M. Night Shyamalan messed up big time with this one. The quirkiness and playfulness that Sokka and Aang have in the show is COMPLETELY lost in the movie. Kotara has practically no role other than being the narrator. Oh! and remember how the whole point of the cartoon is Aang (or 'Ong' as pronounced in the movie) finding a way to master his power and control the Avatar State? Well in the movie he is completely able to control it.... wait... doesn't that defeat the point of the entire show? ..... rriiiiiiiiiight ....
oh.... the special effects are ... good.
heres my thing. i havent seen this movie yet, but i agree that shamylahanagin or however you say his name messed up this movie. why?
ReplyDeletebecause how can you have a flying bison and have ppl still say it sucks balls?
