Inception Review

Last sunday night Nicole and I had the pleasure to go see Inception. Let's start from the fact that we decided to go see it at the Empire Theatres in Richmond Hill. Right there was our first big mistake. Even though the prices were really good and we were able to get 2 for 1 tickets, our experience wasn't exactly the greatest because of the quality of the theatres. Anyways... I have to review the movie and not the theatre soooooooo...

Inception was a good movie. It was probably the most thoughtful 3 hours of my life. I found it quite hard to follow especially at the beginning, but once you got the hang of it, after about an hour into the movie, it captured the audience. Shall I mention how incredibly beautiful everyone in the movie looked? yum! The acting was definitely great. Starting with Dicaprio, who is the main actor of the movie, I felt that all the actors were certainly able to capture the audiences and bring them to another (crazy ass) world. I felt that even though there was a leading character, there was a lot of attention given to the entire cast. For this reason it created a sense of communal effort that is seldom found in movies. The amazing dream sequences were pretty spectacularly done. And the costumes fit perfectly with each character. I'm not surprised at all to hear that there is Oscar talk for this movie. At same time, I would like to see it again to understand it better... was that the intent of the director...?
