Sarah's World

The other day Ty and I were watching HGTV when we came across Sarah's House. If you haven't seen the show, it's about the interior designer Sarah Richardson and her gay best friend spending a poop load of time and money designing all of Sarah's properties. First of all, I want to state that I really do believe that Sarah is incredibly talented, that said, the woman has money coming out of her ass.

It seems that Sarah is on the mission of making all of Canada feel shitty for not having enough money to purchase as many properties as she can. I believe I lost count of how many things she has bought, gutted, rebuilt, and decorated. I'm left to believe that either she has a husband that makes way too much money for his own good or that interior decorating is A LOT more rewarding that I expected.

Sarah Richardson's most recent shows are Sarah's House and Sarah's Cottage. For Sarah's House the designer purchased an old country house in the middle of Ontario. What she then did, is pretty much gutted the entire interior of the house, got all the moth balls out of it, and rebuilt a stunning modern country home. Also she made additions to the house, finally creating a property that I'm sure is now worth more than a few million dollars. After deciding that the country wasn't for Sarah, she left it all and moved back to the city.

Sarah's Cottage, on the other hand, is the real slap in the face. Poor little Ms. Richardson bought an island. YES A FRICKEN ISLAND in the middle of northern Ontario. To built her "cottage" she then found out that cars and trucks cannot arrive to her lovely island. This is when the planes and boats started arriving bringing logs for the house, pipes for the plumbing, and massive cathedral style windows. It's obvious that the designer created an amazing oasis on her own flippin' island.

It seems that Sarah's empire is only at the beginning and before we know it Sarah will own the world starting with cities and skyscrapers.
